While many paddlers and hikers plan their adventures into the Boundary Waters region with the utmost of care, it is a wise reminder of the perils that lay in this remote region for even the most experienced of wanderers. In Last Entry Point, experienced paddler Joe Friedrichs gathers tales that involve tragedy or near-misses in the Boundary Waters region, interviewing people who confronted danger and walked away, as well as those whose loved ones died in the midst of wilderness adventure.
