Throwback Thursday!

Are you as happy as us about the upcoming warm weather?? It's about time!

Even though we know summer has to make its appearance at some point, you never fail to hear people recalling what the weather was like at this time in years past. "Five years ago I was out fishing! Two years ago I had a full yard of grass by March, now it's still snowing in April!"

Well, we can tell you this: 114 years ago in April 1909 there was no snow to be seen and the weather was perfect for starting the construction of the MANDO Mill Office (first photo). And 79 years ago in April 1944, there were still iced up docks in Ranier (second photo).

I guess the only reliable thing about Borderland weather is its unpredictability!
